My Poor Scamps.... :'(
Tearful22-01-09:
Today, we took our dog - Scampi to surgery as we did not know why she wasn't breathing properly, eating and drinking, or going potty. But she was vomiting and her stomich was twiching, serverley
When we handed her in, the vet checked all over to find out what was wrong. She found out that she'd been bitten by a snake on the upper-gums... :'(
After a little while, we left the vet to whatever she could to save my baby scamps and took her for an x-ray, and after that, we got a call saying that she has kidney failure and they immediatley tried their best to get them working again. But they were expecting her to bleed through the bum-bum, but she didn't. An EXTREMLEY good sign.
A little while later, Scamps did a wee-wee. The vet was over the moon and csalled us that she was getting better and was asking permission to go ahead with the anti-venom sollusion, it can either go really really good, or really, really bad. She got it really really bad. So the vet, during the night had to put on the oxygyn mask for 2-hours, and was ok untill the next morning.
She will be in intence care for about 4days. That's all i've heard, and I beg you God, please PLEASE keep her alive, my family's hearts and I are filled with hope, and now it's up to you. We love her so much. Please let her live.... :C
It is so good to know there are other people who have gone through the same. I love you all!
This morning, the vet called and said she was on the road to recovery and her breathing is improving. That is HUGE!
When it happened, I never thought to look in her mouth? Thank god we took her to the vet.
She should be able to come home on maybe, Tuesday and we could see her on Monday.
Thank you to all of you people who have been supportorting me, but it's not certain yet that she will survive.
